Soccer Win!!

Yesterday we had a soccer game and it was great! Chris was out of town so Katy and I had to run the show. I even made the lineup myself the night before(6 drafts). It was perfect weather...and all the kids showed up(although 2 barely made it before kickoff...and one forgot his cleats at home). At our last practice we tried some new kids out at goalie. Not because they are particularly great...but because they wanted to. We love to win...but believe that if a kid wants to play a certain position...they should get to! Even is they are not the best at it. So I made the lineup with these kids in the goal. The kids were pumped! Well.....we won 7 to 0! They were amazing! And the new kids in goal....GREAT! They really made us (and their parents) proud! Ben scored TWO times. I ran out on the field and spun him around. He was beaming!!! Nanny Jackie and George were there too. The second score by Ben was a penalty kick. Three other players who had NEVER scored before(and were never expected to) scored a goal each. The parents and grandparents went WILD! And one of our superstars scored two times. Kristian of course shut out many attempts when she was in the goal. She really is amazing. Our last game is Monday night at 6:00pm.
