jiffy lube

by teresa
This morning I was asking Lauren how it went at Jiffy Lube yesterday. Now if any of you have ever gone to Jiffy Lube...you know that you just pull around the building and pull into the garage area. You get out and they sign you in the computer and you go in and wait until they are done. Well...Lauren pulled in and parked in the front. She went in and they told her to pull around back. So she pulled around back and parked in a parking space. She walked up and they told her she had to pull her car into the garage area. She was like..they should have been more specific the first time! So she walked in and told them her name and they looked up all our info on the computer. She said she wanted the signature oil change. (that is what I told her to get) Then she went inside with her friend Jasmine(who she brought for support). She said they kept coming in asking her questions. And if you know Lauren..you know she does not like answering peoples questions without parental supervision. They brought in some filter and showed her how dirty it was. Do you want us to change it? NO...she says. Then they came in and told her the antifreeze was low and they could put some in (for and extra fee)...she said..NO. Then they came and asked her what kind of oil she wanted them to use...they showed her a plethora of choices. She was like..huh? I don't know what kind to use...she said. What's the cheapest? This one..they said. So use that one..she said. That's my girl! We had told her not to let them push extras on her. To just get the signature oil change. I had phoneds ahead to make sure of the price ($34.95). She had stopped at the ATM and got out $40.00. So she was not about to let them charge her any extra.

That's our girl! Good job, Lauren. I hate answering their stupid questions too. You tell them you want the "Signature Oil Change" ... you should not have to make any further decissions!

If you want more practice, you can take my car for an oil change.
