TGIF

by teresa

I am glad it's Friday.

For three reasons.

One....all the PTA stuff is over for awhile. At least the night time PTA commitments. I was out of the house three nights this week. I missed two karate classes and one soccer practice. I don't like that at all. Chris is so used to me having dinner ready, even when I am absent.....that he called me last night in the middle of the open house. I had just walked into Ben's classroom to chat with the teacher. I answered and he said...Teresa....did you make dinner? I was like....aren't you home? He said...yeah...I've been home for awhile now. I said...Well...do you see any dinner there? He said...no. I said....Then...NO...I did not make any dinner. So he and Nick had to fend for themselves. Poor babies.

Two...tonight is the high school football game. We are up against a very strong opponent (which always make for some intense action). Also...I get a kick out of seeing Lauren out there on the track cheering on the team.

Three(and most important)...today is the library book sale. I anticipate this ALL YEAR LONG...and it's finally here. I have my big library bags ready....my long polo shirt on (the one that comes past my hips so when I stoop down searching the boxes....I spare everyone from the experience of seeing my granny panties peaking out the top of my low rider jeans. I'm going for comfort today...not style!

Well...I'm off to get Nick's breakfast made (special K) and get him off to school.

You folks have a great day!

Girl ... you've got Chris spoiled! It's good training for them to have to let them fend for themselves once in a while.

Andrew will sit and starve waiting for me to cook something. Sometimes, all I have time for is to get the kids fed before I go back to doing housework or whatever. Andrew will keep hinting to me. "Have you eaten yet today?" "You know, I've got a craving for hot dogs." Things like that. I used to sigh and stop what I was doing and quickly make him something to eat. Now I just say, "You've got legs. Walk into the kitchen. You've got arms. Grab yourself a hot dog. You've got brains. Pop that dog into the microwave and nuke it yourself!"

Don't forget, you are a wonderful person and a blessing to those around you! I'm proud to call you my friend!

*hugs*
